Waldorfhaus Dorus Rijkers

Waldorfhaus Dorus Rijkers is our after-school care location in Nesselande, Rotterdam. We are located in the scouting building of Scouting Group Dorus Rijkers, hidden in the Nessebos. This location offers space for up to 44 children aged 4 to 13 years. Our BSO operates from an anthroposophical perspective. This means we approach children with attention to their development and their own pace. The spaces are furnished with natural materials and warm colors. We follow the rhythm of nature and the year, with attention to seasons and annual festivals. We provide a calm and safe environment where children can relax after a school day. There is ample space for free play and creative activities. We use vegetarian and unprocessed food, fitting our vision on health and well-being. Our pedagogical staff have a background in anthroposophical childcare. They regularly attend training to further develop their knowledge and skills.
