Waldorfhaus De Houttuin

Waldorfhaus de Houttuin is the multifunctional heart of our childcare in the Nesselande district. In this warmly furnished location at Corsicalaan 29, we provide after-school care for up to 20 children aged 4 to 13. Based on Steiner/Waldorf pedagogy and anthroposophy, we create a safe, homely environment where every child is seen and guided as a unique individual. Our pedagogical staff pick up children after school from the Waldorf School and other schools in Rotterdam Nesselande. In our spacious indoor and outdoor areas, adjacent to the Nessebos and the Zevenhuizerplas, children can play and discover freely. We work with natural materials, seasonal tables and rhythms that connect with nature. Our offer includes dance, music, chess, English lessons and artistic activities. Our vegetarian, unprocessed food contributes to healthy development. At Waldorfhaus de Houttuin we take ample time for getting acquainted and settling in. We believe that a warm first contact forms the basis for pleasant cooperation with parents. Our staff have a pedagogical background and continue to deepen their knowledge of childcare through internal and external training. Together we create a place where children feel at home and can grow at their own pace.
