Vrijland Amersfoort B.V. is the after-school care centre located at Dupontplein 14 in Amersfoort. Launched in 2021 from Aloysius Primary School, we are the city’s only true outdoor BSO. Children spend 99 % of their time playing outside, 52 weeks a year, whatever the weather. We believe in the power of nature and the freedom outdoor play brings. Our qualified staff guide up to 65 children per day in a vertical group for ages 4 to 12. We use the entire schoolyard, nearby parks and always have access to the gym, classrooms and theatre hall for the rare moments when staying inside is unavoidable. On those occasions we run sports activities, create in our children’s lab or bake treats over a campfire. Every day the children receive organic vegetables, fruit, crackers and rice cakes sourced from Het Lokaal. Water and tea are provided throughout the day. During holiday days we ask parents to pack a lunch; we supply healthy snacks and drinks. We work on a small scale, personal and with great attention to sustainability and healthy food.
