BSO De Zonnewende

Welcome to BSO Zonnewende, our small-scale after-school care located in the Dordtse Vrije School at Zuilenburg 68 in Dordrecht. As part of gro-up childcare, we provide care for a maximum of 20 children aged 4 to 12 at this location. Being housed in the school's annex means children can stay in a familiar environment after school hours. Our BSO is open 52 weeks per year, except for official public holidays. We offer before-school care on Thursdays from 7:30 to 8:30 AM and after-school care on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Our pedagogical staff, recognizable by their gro-up clothing, collect children from their classrooms. While younger children are picked up personally, older children come to the BSO independently. Our location has one BSO group with a maximum of 20 children per day. We typically work with two pedagogical staff members per group, with Wednesdays having a maximum of 10 children. We maintain a clear daily structure that provides peace and security. After school, children first receive something to eat and drink, using organic products. Then there's time for free play or organized activities. We play outside daily and offer extra challenging activities during school holidays, such as camping week and summer games. During school holidays, we combine with location Xie-je and provide cross-location care. This gives children the opportunity to make new friends and discover different spaces. Our pedagogical policy is based on gro-up childcare's core values: we create a healthy, safe and opportunity-rich environment where children can develop and discover who they are and what they can do.
