Vriendjes Passende Zorg - Locatie Marcusschool

Welcome to Vriendjes Passende Zorg – Locatie Marcusschool, a modern daycare centre in Utrecht-Overvecht that opened its doors in early 2022. Located at Mayadreef 1, our brand-new premises provide care for up to 28 children aged 3 months to 4 years. The children are divided across eight spacious groups: two baby groups, one vertical group, one toddler group, two PLUS groups and two groups for ‘older toddlers aged 3+’. Our aim is for every child to feel safe, seen and challenged. At Vriendjes we create a warm pedagogical climate in which play, development and meeting one another are central. Besides regular daycare, we specialise in ‘daycare plus’. Our two PLUS groups accommodate 16 children aged 0-5 who need extra care and support, for example because of a medical condition, developmental delay or behavioural issue. Together with a multidisciplinary team – physiotherapist, educational psychologist and speech therapist – we set new goals every three months and guide the children step by step. Because the PLUS groups are located in the same building as the regular groups, the children learn a lot from each other and everything remains as ‘normal’ as possible. Our centre is spacious, with bright group rooms, quiet sleeping areas and a large green garden where children can run, explore and play outside. We offer flexible childcare options: from 7.30 am to 6.30 pm, shortened day sessions, morning or afternoon care, or even fully flexible schedules. For parents who wish to work during school hours, we still have places available for 3-year-olds until 2.00 pm in our 3+ group, where school readiness skills are developed through play.
