Voorschool OBS Iemenhof

Voorschool OBS Iemenhof is a small-scale preschool for children aged 2.5 to 4 years, located on the playground of Openbare Basisschool De Iemenhof at Spanjaardspad 86 in Schoonebeek. We provide a safe and familiar environment where children can grow and develop through play. Our group has a maximum of 16 children, allowing us to give personal attention to each child. We follow a clear daily structure that provides peace and regularity. The morning starts at 8:30 AM and ends at 11:45 AM on Mondays and 12:00 PM on Wednesdays. During these mornings we make time for language development, creative activities such as painting, crafting and clay work, and shared moments like eating fruit and drinking together. We believe it is important that children can develop freely in an environment that invites discovery and play. Our qualified pedagogical staff work according to the VVE program (Early Childhood Education). This program focuses on development areas such as language, numeracy, social-emotional behavior, self-reliance, motor skills and creativity. We tailor our activities to the world of experience of young children and provide challenging materials and play areas. During their stay, children receive fresh fruit and a cookie or cracker from us. We take allergies and other dietary requirements into account, which can be discussed with us in advance. We ask parents to dress their children in sturdy clothes that can get dirty, so they can play and explore freely. A spare set of clothes in the bag is always useful. We work closely with OBS De Iemenhof and other parties involved in the Brede School Schoonebeek. This ensures a smooth transition to primary school. Our preschool is a wonderful place where children can grow in confidence and skills, ready for the next step in their development.
