Welcome to Voorschool Nellestein, located in the heart of the Gaasperdam neighbourhood at Leksmondplein 31 in Amsterdam Zuidoost. Our daycare centre is part of Stichting Zonova opvang and provides care for up to 30 children aged 2 to 4 years. We are housed within a classroom of primary school Nellestein, ensuring a familiar and smooth transition to primary education for your child. At Voorschool Nellestein we work developmentally and child-centred. This means we focus on what your child can already do and what they need to develop further. We use the VVE method 'Uk & Puk', where learning through play is central. By talking and listening to each other, we stimulate children's language skills and expand their vocabulary. Each child has their own mentor who closely monitors their development and provides parents with tools to work with the themes at home as well. Our group spaces are cosy and inviting, with corners and play materials that encourage children to play and discover. We provide a safe and familiar environment where your child can optimally develop in language, speech, thinking, motor skills, play and social-emotional skills. Daily outdoor play and healthy nutrition complete our care. We offer flexible opening hours from 8:30 to 14:00 and the option of half-day care. Our pedagogical staff are ready to provide your child with a warm and safe place where they can be themselves and grow step by step towards a good start in primary education.
