Voorschool Kap

Welcome to Voorschool Kap, a preschool facility operated by Kinderopvang Kinderwerk, located at De Kap 14 in Klazienaveen. We provide a safe and stimulating environment for children aged 2.5 to 4 years, where learning through play is at the heart of everything we do. Our preschool is integrated into the Kindcentrum De Kap / Pastoor Middelkoop, ensuring a seamless transition to primary education. Children join one horizontal group of up to 16 peers. The room is thoughtfully arranged with dedicated corners for reading, building, role-play, themed activities, and arts & crafts. Each session follows a predictable rhythm that includes circle time, free play, creative activities, and shared fruit moments. We implement the Dutch Early Childhood Education programme Uk & Puk, focusing on language development, motor skills, and uncovering each child’s talents. Themes are chosen to match the children’s world and, whenever possible, are aligned with the primary school curriculum to create continuity. Our team—two permanent pedagogical staff members supported by a volunteer or intern—offers a loving and secure setting every day, because feeling safe is the first step toward confident learning and growth. Voorschool Kap is officially registered as a daycare centre (KDV) under LRK number 103194587. We provide 16 hours of preschool education per week, spread across three mornings (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 8:30–13:50). An intake conversation is part of the enrolment process, and parents are always welcome to visit. Together, we make sure every child’s first steps into primary school are smooth and positive.
