Voorschool Het Kabouterhuis

Welcome to Voorschool Het Kabouterhuis located at Amsteldijk 196 in Amsterdam South. We are a small-scale daycare center with one vertical group for up to 14 children aged 0 to 4 years. In our homely environment, children quickly feel at home and can develop at their own pace. Our spaces are cozy and atmospherically decorated, radiating calmness. Inside, children can play freely in a safe and stimulating environment, while outside they can enjoy our garden. The garden offers plenty of opportunities to play, discover and move. We consciously focus on nature experience: children see the seasons through the sunflowers we plant ourselves, taste strawberries that slowly turn red, and collect chestnuts and leaves. We work according to the principles of positive parenting and maintain a fixed, recognizable structure that provides children with peace and security. Every day includes time for movement at fixed moments. Our professional, qualified staff are ready to guide each child in their development. We believe children learn best by playing together and learning respect for each other. At Het Kabouterhuis we eat vegetarian and organic meals. We are open every weekday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with the possibility of pre-school care from 7:00 AM. Flexible care is possible: you can choose for half days until 12:45 PM, 3:15 PM or full days until 6:00 PM.
