Voorschool Groen van Prinsterer

Welcome to Voorschool Groen van Prinsterer, a caring preschool for toddlers aged 2.5 to 4 years, located on the ground floor of Christelijke Basisschool Groen van Prinsterer in the Emmermeer district. We are part of Kinderwerk, an experienced childcare organisation that has been running safe and stimulating preschools in Drenthe for many years. Our room is spacious, bright and specially designed for the youngest children, and we have our own outdoor playground where the children can go outside every day. Everything we do is about discovery and learning through play. We work with a maximum of 16 toddlers per group, guided by two permanent, qualified pedagogical staff. Each morning or afternoon follows a fixed structure that offers calm and familiarity: we start with a cosy circle time, then have time for free play or a creative activity linked to the current theme. We eat fresh fruit together and later a sandwich, after which we play outside for a while or choose free play indoors. We end the day together. Our themes come from the Uk & Puk method and are aligned with what the kindergarten teachers at the primary school cover. In this way, the children learn words, songs and concepts that will come up again later at school. Parents receive a theme letter that explains exactly what we are working on, so you can follow up at home. We believe a continuous development from preschool to primary school is very important; our collaboration with the kindergarten teachers ensures a smooth transition. We are easily accessible by bike, car or public transport and offer care on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday mornings or afternoons. You can register your child for 16 hours per week with us.
