Voorschool De Speelweide

Voorschool De Speelweide is a hidden gem in Amsterdam Buitenveldert where children aged 2 to 4 are given plenty of space to play, discover and grow. Our small-scale daycare welcomes a maximum of 16 children, allowing us to give every toddler the personal attention they deserve. We follow a structured VVE programme (early childhood education) that stimulates language, numeracy and social skills in a playful way. All our activities are nature- and play-based: we garden in our own vegetable patch, make trips to the park, and sing and move every day. Creative expression is high on our agenda; painting, crafting and storytelling are part of the daily routine. Our spacious garden is designed as a safe exploration zone where children can run, build sandcastles and sow vegetables and flowers. Indoors we have a quiet sleeping room with individual beds and an airy group space filled with natural materials. We serve a warm organic lunch and healthy snacks; taking allergies and dietary requirements into account is second nature to us. At Voorschool De Speelweide we believe every child should feel seen and valued. Our experienced pedagogical staff work closely with parents and St. Jozef primary school to ensure a smooth transition into regular primary education. We offer both full-day and half-day care, tailored to what suits your family best.
