Voorschool De Meer

Welcome to Voorschool De Meer, a daycare facility located at Mariotteplein 70 in Amsterdam-Oost. We are part of Stichting Dynamo Voorscholen, an organization with over 25 years of experience in providing high-quality preschool care in Amsterdam. We can accommodate up to 16 children per day in a safe and stimulating environment where play and learning go hand in hand. We work with the preschool program 'Startblokken', where we thematically focus on your child's development. Our activities connect with the children's experiences. When a child is excited about a fire truck they've seen, we build an educational activity around it. This way, children learn through play to count, draw, sing, talk and discover. We pay special attention to language development through reading aloud, language games and stimulating communication between children. Our toddler group consists of 16 children aged 2 to 4 years, guided by 2 permanent pedagogical staff members. We work in horizontal groups, where children of the same age play and learn together. This provides a calm and structured environment where each child gets the space to develop at their own pace. The preschool is open from 8:30 to 13:50, making half-day attendance possible. At Voorschool De Meer, we believe it's important that children develop not only cognitively, but also socially-emotionally and motorically. We therefore offer various activities such as movement, music-making and creative expression. Children are given the freedom to fantasize, get messy and above all, be children. Our experienced pedagogical staff guide the children and ensure a warm and familiar atmosphere.
