Voorschool CBS Bentetop

Welcome to Voorschool De Bentetop, part of childcare organisation Kinderwerk and located within the CBS De Bentetop primary school building at Weerdingerkanaal in Nieuw-Weerdinge. We welcome children from 2.5 to 4 years to develop playfully in a single horizontal group of up to 16 toddlers, guided by two permanent pedagogical staff members and a volunteer or intern. Our spacious group room is divided into dedicated learning corners: a reading corner, construction corner, home corner, theme corner and an art & craft studio. Each session follows a predictable routine: free play, circle time with a welcome song, theme discussion and a craft activity such as gluing, painting or cutting. On Wednesdays we walk to the nearby library to borrow a book to take home; on Thursdays we use the gym for movement exercises. We share fruit and a sandwich together and enjoy outdoor play on the large schoolyard shared with groups 1 and 2. We implement the Dutch Early Childhood Education programme Uk & Puk, aligning themes with the primary school to ensure continuity. Respecting each child’s individuality and creating a safe, familiar atmosphere are our priorities. Before enrolment we schedule a personal intake meeting and parents are always invited to visit with their child.
