Voorschool Aldoende

Voorschool Aldoende is located at Tweede Boerhaavestraat 22 in the heart of Amsterdam-East, right next to Oosterpark. We are part of Stichting Dynamo Voorscholen and have been providing pre-school education (VE) to a maximum of 16 children per day since 27 August 2012. Our setting is fully designed for toddlers aged 2 to 4 who are playfully prepared for primary school. Everything we do revolves around a safe, familiar environment. Each group is guided by two fixed pedagogical staff members, so every child sees familiar faces and quickly feels at home. The staff-to-child ratio is 1:8; with 9 to 16 children, there are always two professionals present. In addition, trainee students regularly join us as extra support, offering even more personal attention. We apply a careful settling-in period. The first time, a parent stays with the child in the group. After that, we gradually reduce the parent’s presence, exactly tailored to what the child needs. This builds trust and creates space for development. Our outdoor space is challenging and invites exploration and movement. We work thematically: each period focuses on a different theme in which language development and vocabulary expansion are explicitly addressed. Activities are attuned to the world of toddlers and aligned with the goals of pre-school education. In short, Voorschool Aldoende offers a small-scale, safe and stimulating place where toddlers can play, grow and prepare for the next step in their development.
