Villa Ratjetoe

Welcome to daycare center Villa Ratjetoe, located at Van den Broek-erf 30 in Dordrecht. We are a daycare center (KDV) and part of Gro-up childcare. Children from 0 to 4 years old are welcome for daycare. We provide care for up to 90 children and are open 51 weeks a year, from Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Upon request, we can stay open until 6:30 PM. Our pedagogical staff work according to Gro-up's pedagogical policy, which focuses on safety, development, and well-being. We offer a healthy, safe, and opportunity-rich environment where children can grow and discover who they are. We work with horizontal groups, meaning children are cared for in age groups. This ensures that babies and toddlers have separate groups, allowing us to tailor care and activities to the child's developmental stage. Parental involvement is very important to us. Through our parent app, parents can safely follow their child's daily experiences. In the diary, parents receive messages about feeding, care, and activities. There are also opportunities for parent meetings and collaboration between parents and pedagogical staff is encouraged. We work with fixed routines, such as the intake interview at the start, where parents introduce their child and we share the responsibility for upbringing and education. For the youngest children, we provide all necessary care, such as diapers, wipes, and bottle feeding. We have separate sleeping rooms where children can sleep peacefully. For older children, we organize activities such as crafts, music-making, language development, and reading. We also regularly go on excursions and pay attention to nature and outdoor play in our garden. We offer preschool education (VE), which stimulates children in their development from an early age. Together we ensure a safe environment. We ask parents to park in the designated parking spaces and not to place bicycles directly in front of the entrance. Upon entering, we ask you to ring the bell at your child's group and clearly state your name. It is important that all doors are closed after entering or leaving and that no jewelry is worn during sleep. We look forward to a great collaboration with you and your child!
