Welcome to Villa Doomijn KDV Zuideinde, a special daycare center located in a beautiful old city villa on the edge of Meppel's city center. Our characteristic building with high ceilings, chandeliers and a large natural garden offers a unique environment where children aged 0 to 4 can grow and learn in style. Everything we do revolves around natural play and boundless discovery. Throughout the year, children make full use of our large green garden to play outside to their heart's content. We offer many opportunities to learn and discover during free play and activities, using open-ended toys that stimulate children's imagination. Our theme-oriented activities challenge children to develop themselves. We work throughout the year with changing themes that connect with the season or with the children's world of experience at that moment. We pay attention to all areas of development. Children learn in a challenging and stimulating way without us imposing ideas on them. The approach we apply is inspired by the Reggio Emilia pedagogy. We present materials in an attractive way and find it very important to observe and listen to children. The process always comes first, not the end result. We have respect for each other and trust in the child, always encouraging them to 'do it themselves'. We actively involve parents in our plans and keep them informed about their child's development. Our experienced pedagogical staff provide personal attention and guide each child in their development. Together we create a safe and warm environment where children can develop optimally.
