Villa Kakelbont

Welcome to Villa Kakelbont at W.M. Dudokweg 43 in Heerhugowaard. We are a warm childcare centre where children aged 0 to 4 feel at home. Our day-care centre consists of three groups: the baby group Bambi (0-2 years), the toddler group Belle (2-4 years) and a vertical group in which ages are mixed. This allows every child to develop at his or her own pace and level, while younger toddlers learn from the older children and babies experience the calm of the toddlers. Health and movement are central to our approach. We go outside every day, even when it is windy or raining. Children love to play, run and explore in the garden. The fresh air and natural surroundings stimulate motor development and language comprehension: left, right, over, under – they learn everything by moving. Inside, our pedagogical staff provide a calm, safe atmosphere with plenty of room to sleep, play and cuddle. We work with early childhood education (VVE) and stimulate language development, among other things through the BookStart programme. Reading aloud, singing and talking are part of our daily routine. Every child receives the individual attention it needs; we believe every child is unique and deserves its own settling-in process. Parents are always welcome to help, read along or just drop by – our open-door policy makes this possible.
