Villa De Boomhut

Welcome to Villa De Boomhut, our daycare center located at Ockenburg 44 in Dordrecht. We are part of Kindcentrum De Keerkring and provide care for 32 children aged 0 to 4 years, divided into two horizontal groups. Our spacious, bright group room invites children to play and explore. We have created different play corners: a quiet reading corner where children can relax with picture books, and a creative building corner where imagination comes to life. We regularly change these corners so there's always something new to discover. Movement and outdoor play are very important to us. Our enclosed playground is directly connected to the group room, making it easy to go outside. For the youngest ones, we have a special outdoor playpen so they too can safely enjoy the fresh air. When the weather is bad, we use the gymnasium, so boredom never sets in. We work with changing themes that connect to the children's world of experience. Think of themes like 'animals on the farm' - when we actually visit a petting zoo. Or 'grocery shopping', where we go to the supermarket together. We make these excursions regularly, always adapted to the age and development of the children. Since we are located in the same building as primary school De Keerkring, children will already know their new teachers and classmates. Our pedagogical staff work closely with the teachers, ensuring a smooth transition to primary school. We provide a warm handover and keep communication lines short.
