Villa Bloom

Welcome to Villa Bloom Loosduinse Hoofdstraat, our headquarters and a warm, small-scale day-care centre in the heart of Loosduinen. We provide care for children aged 0 to 4 years in two baby groups and one toddler group, each guided by both a Dutch-speaking and an English-speaking childcare professional. From the very first months, children grow up in a rich bilingual environment. Sustainability and connection with nature are the common threads in our daily practice. We consciously choose organic meals and snacks, care for our children with eco-friendly nappies and care products, and carefully separate our waste. The spacious garden invites outdoor play, discovery and gardening; together with the children we bake bread and tend our own vegetable garden. The homely interior – wooden floors, soft natural colours and toys made of wood and natural materials – creates a calm, safe base where every child can grow at their own pace. Our pedagogical policy revolves around the motto ‘building lifelong self-learners’. We encourage children to explore the world independently, make their own choices and thus become confident, open-minded individuals. Every day we offer tailor-made activities: language games in Dutch and English, sensory experiences in the garden, creative development with natural materials and, of course, plenty of quiet moments in our separate sleeping areas. We also follow Early Childhood Education programmes so that children get a flying start to primary school through play. Flexibility is part of our service: parents can opt for half or full days, depending on their working hours. We take allergies and dietary requirements into account and communicate clearly in the language parents prefer.
