Vereniging Joop Gilliamse Creche

The Joop Gilliamse Crèche has been a familiar presence in the heart of Amsterdam since 1982. Our parent participation daycare at Prins Hendrikkade 165E provides a warm, homely environment for up to eight children aged 0 to 4 years. As an association, the childcare is entirely provided by the parents themselves, resulting in a close-knit community where everyone knows each other and cares for the little ones together. Our location is just a stone's throw from Artis and various children's playgrounds, making us an ideal base for discovery trips in the city. The crèche is housed in a characteristic building in central Amsterdam, where children can play and grow in a safe, familiar environment. As a parent participation crèche, everything revolves around involvement and cooperation. The parents together form the team that takes care of the children, under the guidance of a professional. This unique setup ensures personal attention and a close bond between all involved. We work with horizontal groups, where children of similar ages play and learn together.
