Vandaag POV Gytsjerk

Vandaag POV Gytsjerk is located on the ground floor of CBS Ichthusschool at Simke Kloostermanstrjitte 44 in the heart of Gytsjerk. Since 1 June 2024, as part of VANDAAG Childcare, we have been offering local families a trusted, small-scale toddler care service. We operate one vertical group for a maximum of 16 children aged 2 to 4 years, giving every child the space to develop at their own pace. Our certified pedagogical staff welcome children every morning from 08:30 to 12:30. We follow Early Childhood Education programmes that stimulate language, numeracy and social skills through play. Nature and the living environment are key themes: we regularly explore our own green school garden and use natural materials for crafts, construction and experiments. In this way children learn respect for the environment from an early age and their curiosity is sparked. The room is bright, safe and arranged into different corners: a reading corner with picture books, a construction corner with wooden blocks, a role-play corner with a toy kitchen and dolls, and a creative table where we discover something new every day. We follow fixed routines: singing together, storytelling and finishing with a song when parents arrive. Parents experience our service as personal and caring; brief chats at drop-off and pick-up are part of this. In short, Vandaag POV Gytsjerk offers a safe, challenging place where toddlers grow through play and parents can leave their child with peace of mind.
