VaartKids

VaartKids is a small-scale after-school care facility operated by KomKids Kinderopvang B.V., located at Burgemeester van der Lippad 3 in Schiedam. We provide care for a maximum of 11 children and have been registered in the National Childcare Register since February 17, 2020, under number 141297943. Our location is shared with Scouting BvH and is within walking distance of special primary school De Poldervaart, with whom we collaborate closely. At VaartKids, we believe in providing children with a safe and familiar environment where they can develop broadly. We offer after-school care from the end of school until 6:00 PM on school days, and from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM on study days. There is also the option to purchase additional hours from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM, provided there is sufficient demand. Our outdoor area is a true paradise for children. With a large grass field for ball games, muddy spots, small streams, and puddles, there is plenty of room for exploration and adventure. Rain boots and spare clothes are therefore essential in our daily practice. We love to use this natural play environment to challenge children and stimulate their creativity. As part of KomKids Kinderopvang, we follow the center-bound pedagogical policy specifically developed for VaartKids. This policy describes our opening hours, collaboration with education, and the thematic approach we use. We are supervised by the GGD Rotterdam-Rijnmond, and our inspection reports are available through the National Childcare Register.
