Welcome to Partou Peuteropvang Universum, located at Regulusstraat 8-10 in the heart of Twekkelerveld, Enschede. We are part of the Integral Child Centre (IKC) Universum, which allows us to work closely with the Paulusschool and other primary schools in the neighbourhood. This ensures a smooth transition from preschool care to primary education. Our focus is on learning through play and discovery. We offer three horizontal preschool groups: Universum 1, Universum 2 and Universum 3. Each group follows the VE programme Piramide, specially designed for early childhood education. Through familiar themes, children learn language, numeracy, motor skills and social-emotional abilities in a playful way. We sing songs, do creative activities and work in circle time. Everything is aimed at stimulating broad development and increasing educational opportunities. Our pedagogical staff are trained in the VE programme and receive regular refresher training. They closely observe each child and, if necessary, work with parents to provide appropriate support. We follow a themed schedule that aligns with the primary school curriculum. This gives teachers valuable information so that the developmental line continues seamlessly. We value personal contact with parents. Through the Partou parent app, we share daily photos and messages so you can enjoy your child’s experiences. You can also use the app to request care, swap days or report absences. Each year we invite you to a parent meeting where we discuss observations and provide space for all your questions. We also regularly organise parent-child play sessions and workshops. During these moments you can experience how we work with the VE programme and take part in a learning activity with your toddler. Together we prepare your child for a successful start at primary school. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 12:30. Children from the age of 2 are welcome for up to 4 hours of preschool education per day. We expect children at 8:30 so we can offer the full programme. During school holidays we do not provide preschool education.
