UniKidz Orion

Welcome to UniKidz Orion, our after-school care location at Orion 2 in the heart of Lisse, right next to De Lisbloem primary school. We provide out-of-school care for children aged 4 to 12 in a setting surrounded by the famous flower fields of the Dutch bulb region. Our doors are open every weekday from 07:30 to 18:30, including school holidays and study days. Children have the space to discover their talents through our unique activity programme that covers four development areas. FitKidz focuses on sport and movement: children get to know a wide range of sports and physical activities in our own gym. SkillsKidz is all about making and creating; in the studio, kitchen and theatre children work with their hands on concrete projects. SoulKidz centres on culture, yoga, theatre and dance, where we work with heart and soul on expression and relaxation. MindKidz offers insight into how things work and come into being in our STEAM Makerspace, where Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics come together. In addition, we regularly organise activities outside the location. Children can earn their swimming diploma and go horse riding under the guidance of experienced instructors. To make this possible we cooperate with local entrepreneurs, sports clubs and associations in the neighbourhood, so that the children really get to know Lisse. Our pedagogical staff – trained at secondary, higher professional and academic level – are ready with familiar faces for each group. This creates trust and security. Together we provide a safe and challenging place where children feel at home and are happy to go to after school.
