Welcome to Peuteropvang Ukkepuk Sittard, located in the cozy community center De Landjwaer at Landweringstraat 112. As part of MIK & Spelenderwijs, we provide a safe, warm and challenging environment where every child gets the space to grow at their own pace. Together with friend Puk, part of the Uk and Puk method, toddlers discover their talents playfully and get acquainted with new themes such as 'Hooray a baby', 'My family' and 'Carnival'. Structure and clarity are central to our approach. Each day follows a fixed rhythm with moments of free play, craft activities in small groups and shared moments like eating fruit, singing songs and listening to stories. In our cozy classroom, toddlers can play in different corners and every five weeks the theme corner changes with the current theme. This keeps the environment fresh and challenging for our curious explorers. Outdoor play is just as important as indoor activities. When weather permits, toddlers can enjoy cycling, playing in the sandbox or jumping on the trampoline. Our outdoor space offers plenty of opportunities to discover nature and develop motor skills. We believe that outdoor play is not only healthy but also stimulates imagination and strengthens social skills. As a toddler care facility, we offer Pre- and Early Childhood Education (VVE) using the Uk and Puk method. This method perfectly matches toddlers' world of experience and stimulates their language and speech development in a playful way. Additionally, we offer the SuperFIT program, which further stimulates children's motor development through movement games and dance. Our group is horizontally structured with children aged 2 to 4 years. We work with small groups of maximum 16 children, allowing us to give individual attention to each child. Our pedagogical staff are specialized in toddler development and create daily an environment where children feel safe and secure. We believe it's important to work together with parents on their child's development. Therefore we strive for an active parent committee that contributes to the quality of our care. Together we ensure that every day at Ukkepuk Sittard becomes a new adventure where play and development go hand in hand.
