Welcome to BSO Geertruidenberg, Elisabethstraat – the place where children aged 4 to 13 feel safe, challenged and happy after school. We are part of TremaKids, a non-profit organisation that has been providing professional childcare for more than twenty years in the municipalities of Altena and Geertruidenberg. Our site at Elisabethstraat 1 has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK 215575258) since 27 August 2010 and offers space for up to 60 children. BSO Geertruidenberg is located in the same building as primary school De Vuurvlinder, so children simply walk through to our spacious rooms when the last bell rings. We operate two separate group areas: a lively general room for the younger group (4-7 years) and a dedicated ‘cool’ space for children aged 8 and older, equipped with awesome materials and challenging corners where they can game, craft or just hang out. This set-up ensures that every age group finds activities that match their world of experience. Every afternoon our qualified pedagogical staff are ready to welcome the children with a warm greeting, a listening ear and a varied programme. We offer quiet moments for those who need to unwind, as well as sports and games, creative workshops and educational projects. During the school holidays we organise extra holiday programmes: think neighbourhood treasure hunts, craft marathons or sports days in the park. Excursions are also possible, at no additional cost to parents. Co-operation with the schools is second nature to us. We pick the children up directly from De Vuurvlinder and work closely with the school team to ensure a seamless transition between school and after-school care. Flexibility is key: you can choose 40- or 52-week packages, swap days and add extra care whenever you need it.
