Torenlicht

Kindercentrum Torenlicht is located in the heart of a residential area in Westkapelle, within walking distance of primary schools De Lichtboei and De Lichtstraal. The unique building is specially designed for childcare and provides a safe and familiar place for children aged 0 to 4 years. We have been officially registered since August 8, 2012 in the National Childcare Register under number 138952449 and can accommodate up to 16 children. At Torenlicht, we believe that children learn best through play. Therefore, we offer preschool education (VE), where we work on language skills and other important abilities in a playful manner. Our pedagogical staff provide a warm and stimulating environment where every child feels safe and can grow at their own pace. We find it important that children discover the world around them. During the National Reading Days, we bring the joy of stories to life. Our toddlers enjoy reading moments, such as recently during a visit from councilor René de Visser who read from the Picture Book of the Year. Reading aloud is good for language development and strengthens imagination, while also contributing to a close bond between children and adults. Kindercentrum Torenlicht is part of Stichting Kinderopvang Walcheren (KOW). We work with a horizontal group system, where children are divided into age groups. This ensures focused attention and activities that match each child's developmental stage.
