Welcome to daycare Toon, part of KION childcare in Nijmegen. We provide care for children from 8 weeks to 4 years in a warm, safe environment at Symfoniestraat 210. Our daycare works closely with primary school Toon and is part of Kindcentrum Toon, allowing us to offer a seamless continuum from childcare to education. At Toon, we believe it's important that every child has the space to grow and develop at their own pace. Our childcare professionals create a homely atmosphere where children feel safe to play, discover and learn. We work with horizontal groups, where children of approximately the same age come together. This enables us to specifically respond to the specific developmental needs of each age group. Our daycare offers Early Childhood Education (ECE), through which we stimulate the language and speech development of young children. This happens in a playful way, tailored to the children's world of experience. We work with themes that connect to their daily experiences and use various materials and activities that spark curiosity. The location is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, allowing parents to use our childcare flexibly. We have separate sleeping areas where children can sleep peacefully when they need to. These rest moments are important for their development and well-being. As part of Kindcentrum Toon, our children benefit from the collaboration with the primary school. This offers advantages during the transition from daycare to primary school, as children are already familiar with the environment and the people.
