Toermalijn

Welcome to daycare Toermalijn, part of Junis Kinderopvang, located at Halverwege 5 in Alphen aan den Rijn. We offer childcare for children from 6 weeks to 4 years old in a safe, home-like and stimulating environment where play, discovery and development are central. Our location features a large, green garden that was renovated in 2020. Here, children can ride bikes, run, play in the sandbox and slide down the hill. We regularly use this outdoor space to connect children with nature and encourage physical activity. We also organise outings to a local care home, petting zoo and playground. Together with elderly residents, we sing songs and do movement activities. We work with small groups and use a vertical grouping structure, meaning children of different ages play and learn together. This supports social development and interaction between younger and older children. For the youngest ones, we have quiet baby corners where they can sleep, play and cuddle in a low-stimulus environment. At Toermalijn, we believe every child should feel safe and secure. Our pedagogical staff follow each child’s development with warmth and care. We offer Early Childhood Education (VVE) to stimulate language development and social skills. We read stories daily, sing songs and make time for cuddles and personal attention. We welcome you for a tour and personal consultation.
