Toekomst

Welcome to Kindcentrum Toekomst, located at Van Ostadelaan 120 in the heart of Schiedam-West. We are part of KomKids Kinderopvang B.V. and have been providing reliable after-school care for up to 84 primary-school children since 1 January 2005. Our BSO works closely with Het Kleurrijk and St. Bernardus primary schools, both within walking distance. After school, children are collected safely and step straight into our spacious, colourful hall. This central meeting place is the beating heart of our centre: we start the day together here, end it together here, and throughout the day children can drop in to build, read or do crafts. Our three BSO groups are arranged by age and interest, so every child aged 4–12 finds an offer that suits them. A fixed team of pedagogical professionals already know the children from toddler care or school and understand what engages them. The activity programme changes daily: one day there is a creative craft corner, the next a sports and movement area, a quiet reading corner or a tech/play corner with tablets and robots. Outside, we play on our own enclosed yard with slide, swing and sandpit, and on the adjacent Frans Halsplein, where we regularly organise sports and games. On school-free days and holidays we join forces with other KomKids locations in Schiedam. Together we run the holiday programme SummerKids: a week packed with outings, workshops and sports clinics, tailored to different age groups. Kindcentrum Toekomst remains the home base for our own group, with familiar faces and a clear daily structure. We are open every weekday from 07:00 to 19:00. Breakfast, a healthy lunch and snacks are provided; parents can choose from various time packages and holiday care is booked separately.
