Thuishuis Kippetje Tok

Welcome to Thuishuis Kippetje Tok, a warm and small-scale daycare where children aged 0–4 truly feel at home. We are located in the cosy side halls of the Kandelaarkerk at Dr. A. Kuyperstraat 46 in Veendam. A private entrance on the side of the building and an enclosed, grassy playground with play equipment give us a familiar place where no more than eight children are cared for at a time. Our vision is simple: every child is unique and may simply be themselves. Led by Anja Kruizinga – owner, former primary-school teacher and experienced child-minder – we work from a Christian identity in which respect, positive guidance and self-confidence are central. We believe that children thrive best in a safe environment, so we give them plenty of room to play, discover and develop. Outdoor play is the heart of our day. When the weather is nice we build sandcastles, splash in water or take a walk to the deer park. Inside we sing together with the guitar, make music and dance with abandon. Each month our friend Kiki the Bear introduces a new theme – such as “going to the shop”, “I’m sick” or “autumn” – and crafts and activities are tailored to match. In this playful way children learn about the world around them. We run horizontal groups and offer flexible care: you pay by the hour, with no fixed half-day blocks. Child-care allowance makes our service very affordable. Thuishuis Kippetje Tok is open 47 weeks a year, so you can count on us all year round.
