TC-kids B.V.

TC-kids B.V. is a small-scale after-school care facility (BSO) located at Meerzichtlaan 302 in Zoetermeer. We provide care for up to 22 children aged 4 to 13 years. Our distinctive feature is our focus on children with communication support needs, such as deafness, hearing impairment, or language development disorders, sometimes combined with intellectual disabilities or psychiatric conditions like ADHD or autism. Children without communication support needs are of course also very welcome. Our BSO operates within a communicative climate where supportive communication tools, such as pictograms, are used. This provides children with and without communication support needs the tools to better understand the world and express themselves. The owners, Marieke Luijken-van Beekum and Mariska Huizer, have years of experience with this target group and took over TC Kids out of their passion to provide the right support for children with communication difficulties. We use the methodology 'Together in the world'. This playful approach teaches children in a natural way about themselves and others. Think of themes such as the body, feelings, differences between people, self-care, friendship, and being in love. In this way, we make a valuable contribution to the development and growth of each child, at his or her own pace.
