Tante Kaat

Welcome to Tante Kaat, a warm and small-scale daycare centre located at Hovenierstraat 91 in Deventer. We provide care for children aged 0 to 4 years on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 AM onwards. At Tante Kaat, everything revolves around calmness, structure and personal attention. We operate in a horizontal group with a maximum of 12 places, allowing ample room for individual development and trusted relationships. Our day begins calmly: coat in the bag, slippers on, and the day at Tante Kaat can start. We follow a consistent daily rhythm that gives children a sense of security. The morning includes a shared activity followed by fruit and drinks. Afterwards, we go outside or continue playing indoors. At noon, we eat bread and milk together. In the afternoon, children rest in their own bed, followed by another round of fruit and drinks to gently end the day. We believe it’s important for children to feel safe and at home. That’s why we work with familiar faces and a homely atmosphere. Our space includes a garden where children can play and explore. We place great emphasis on outdoor play, as we believe it helps children learn and grow. At Tante Kaat, joy, development and a sense of security are at the heart of everything we do. We offer a second home where children can be themselves, with space for play, rest and connection.
