BSO Het Zonnetje

BSO ’t Zonnetje is a small-scale after-school care centre tucked away in a quiet residential area of Driebergen-Rijsenburg, right next to Christelijke Basisschool de Zonhevel. We are designed especially for children in school years 1 and 2 of this primary school. Our BSO consists of one homely group, so every child quickly feels at ease with the room, the pedagogical staff and the other children. This compact set-up creates calm and security at the start of the afternoon. Our staff walk to school to collect the children. The afternoon begins with a quiet moment: sitting down together for a snack and a drink and sharing what is on each child’s mind. Afterwards the children decide for themselves whether to join one of our activities or simply enjoy free play. Every day we offer sport, nature and music activities tailored to the world and developmental stage of 4- to 7-year-olds. In our spacious green discovery garden they can run, build, explore and share adventures together. There is always room for personal initiative and for rest whenever a child needs it. We also remain open during school holidays. We then run a varied activity programme full of games & sports, creative and expressive workshops and nature experiences. Children choose which activities they want to join and can still enjoy free play. In this way the BSO remains a place where adventure and relaxation go hand in hand. Our team consists of experienced, enthusiastic pedagogical professionals who create a warm, home-like feeling every afternoon. We work according to a clear pedagogical work plan that fits within the broad pedagogical policy of SKDD. Together with parents we ensure that every child feels safe, valued and challenged at ’t Zonnetje.
