Welcome to daycare centre ’t Stadstuintje location Vrieseweg, situated in the lively heart of Dordrecht. We were founded by two mothers who believe childcare can be different: more fun and cosy for the children, easier and more flexible for parents. In our homely setting at Vrieseweg 42-44 we provide care for up to 41 children aged 0 to 4 years. Small scale, flexibility and service are our key values. We work with horizontal groups, bringing children of similar ages together so development can be tailored to each stage. Our qualified pedagogical staff – all minimally trained at SPW 3 level – ensure emotional safety every day and stimulate personal and social competences. We apply the four-eyes principle and strictly follow the national staff-child ratio. Our doors are open Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 18:30. Understanding that work schedules can change, we do not set a maximum number of swap days and always keep room for spontaneous care. By maintaining a stable team of staff we create familiarity and continuity for both child and parent. The owners are often present on the group themselves, guaranteeing short lines of communication and personal contact. Everything is negotiable: from half days to extra care moments.
