Welcome to 't Kasteel De Speelschans BSO, located at Van Vollenhovenkade 22 in Leiden. Our Castle is part of the small-scale organization Kinderopvang 't Kasteel, founded in 2002 by parents. We provide after-school care in a homely, warm atmosphere at a multifunctional location with plenty of outdoor space. De Speelschans is one of our four locations and specifically caters to children aged 4 to 6 years. Our location is situated in playground De Speelschans, giving children daily access to a spacious, green play environment. The playground offers countless opportunities for outdoor play, sports and games. We regularly organize activities such as arts and crafts, sports games and small excursions to the surrounding area. During holidays, we often have special themes with creative workshops and fun outings. We work with a dedicated team of involved childcare professionals who ensure a familiar environment. Our groups are small and manageable, ensuring each child receives the attention they deserve. We accommodate a maximum of 20 children per day at De Speelschans, contributing to the homely atmosphere where children feel safe and at home. BSO 't Kasteel De Speelschans collaborates with primary schools in the Burgemeesterswijk district to ensure a smooth transition from school to after-school care. We pick up children from school and bring them to our Castle, where they can play, relax and make new friends.
