't Hobbelpaard

Welcome to KDV ’t Hobbelpaard, located in the charming and characteristic building ‘De Schoel’ at Hogeweg 30 in Zuidlaren. As part of SkidKinderopvang, we provide children aged 0 to 4 with a safe, homely place where they can discover who they are and what they can do through play. Our location is the former village hall – and before that the primary school – of the Schuilingsoord district, creating a warm, familiar atmosphere that immediately makes children and parents feel at home. We work with five vertical groups: the Bolle Beren, Coole Kikkers, Kakelende Kippen, Rollende Rupsen and the Vrolijke Vossen (toddler-preschool group). This setup allows children of different ages to play and learn together. They practise social skills such as making friends, sharing and taking others into account. At the same time, we stimulate language development by reading aloud, singing songs, playing games and during daily moments such as eating sandwiches. In this way, children learn to use words in a natural context. Outside, we have a very large and challenging outdoor area that is completely fenced. Children can safely romp, build sandcastles and get to know nature here. We make seasonal and festive themes visible in crafts, songs and games, allowing children to learn to count, recognise days and understand the world around them through play. Our enthusiastic team guides each child individually. We closely monitor development and tailor activities to what the child needs. By achieving the Green Childcare quality mark, we also demonstrate our commitment to a sustainable, healthy environment in which children can grow. In short: at KDV ’t Hobbelpaard, children find a second home where playing, learning and developing go hand in hand.
