't Blauwe Kieltje

Day-care centre ’t Blauwe Kieltje is located on a farm between Veenendaal, Renswoude, Scherpenzeel and Overberg, making it unique in the region. We provide small-scale, homely care for up to 30 children aged 0 to 4. Our close-knit team of experienced childcare professionals guarantees continuity, safety and familiarity. Being outdoors is central to our approach. The challenging outdoor space naturally invites children to play and move; in this way they develop their gross motor skills and learn physical abilities through play. At the same time they find peace in nature, so they can relax and regain the desire to take part in activities. We make full use of the farm environment: children walk through the corn field, bottle-feed a lamb and climb over gates to reach the animals. These direct experiences with animals and nature support their general development and perception. From the very first day we provide appropriate care: we give bottle feeds, change nappies and offer quiet sleeping areas. We follow each child’s natural curiosity: babies discover their hands and feet, toddlers set off to explore on their own. Through play they learn how the world works, without us prescribing specific programmes. The small group size allows for personal attention and tailor-made care. In short, at ’t Blauwe Kieltje children grow up in a safe, homely setting surrounded by nature, where they can develop freely and experience the farm as a real play and learning environment.
