PO Suske en Wiske

Welcome to playgroup Suske en Wiske, located at the child centre Overhoven on Geldersestraat 28 in Sittard. We are a VVE-certified playgroup offering a safe and stimulating environment for toddlers from the age of 2. Together with primary school Overhoven and our child partners MIK & Spelenderwijs we form one child centre, ensuring a smooth transition from playgroup to primary education. At Suske en Wiske we work thematically. The key principles of our programme are stimulating the broad development of young children, providing a rich language environment and creating a continuous learning line from 2.5 to 6 years. We use the toddler programme Puk & Ko and LOGO 3000. These methods lay a solid foundation for a successful start in group 1 of primary education. As a VVE playgroup we can offer additional support to children who need it. The main goal of our VVE programme is to increase Dutch language proficiency, preventing language delays in group 3. Our pedagogical staff create a safe and structured environment. We work in small groups with a maximum of 16 children, ensuring each child receives the attention they deserve. Activities are play-based and encourage children to discover things themselves. We provide plenty of room for imagination, creativity and social interaction. By working from the zone of proximal development, each child receives exactly the offer they need. Suske en Wiske is here for all toddlers aged 2 to 4. We offer both half-day and full-day care. Together with parents we work on the development of each child. We value parental involvement and keep you informed about your child's development.
