't Planzoentje

Stichting Kinderopvang ’t Planzoentje is a small-scale daycare centre located at Singel 153A in Schiedam. Since 1989, we have been providing a homely and safe environment for children aged 0 to 4. We consciously work with vertical groups, where children of different ages play and learn together. This approach fosters social development and creates a warm, family-like atmosphere. Our daily routine is calm and predictable, tailored to the needs of young children. The morning starts with free play, followed by a joint activity or outdoor play. Around 9:30 AM, a healthy snack is served, such as cracottes with organic toppings and water or tea. After that, it’s time for diaper changes and, if needed, toilet visits. At lunchtime, children eat together with the staff at the table. We serve savoury sandwiches with organic milk, and occasionally a warm meal like soup or macaroni. After lunch, children rest in our quiet sleeping area. At ’t Planzoentje, we believe it’s essential that children feel safe and secure. We pay great attention to individual care and communication with parents. A personal handover takes place daily when dropping off and picking up your child. For babies, we use a written communication book; for toddlers, we provide verbal feedback. We work exclusively with permanent pedagogical staff, all of whom hold recognised qualifications and a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG). Our location is open Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Half-day sessions are possible, with a morning session lasting at least 5 hours. We require a minimum of 10 hours per week. For the youngest children, we ask parents to bring their own formula, either in powdered form or frozen if breastfeeding. For toddlers and preschoolers, we provide healthy, natural meals and snacks. In case of allergies or dietary needs, we coordinate this personally with you. ’t Planzoentje is more than just childcare. We are an extension of home, where your child can be themselves and grow at their own pace.
