Welcome to Stichting Kinderopvang & Onderwijs Schiermonnikoog peuterspeelzaal, located within primary school Yn de Mande at Burgemeester van den Bergstraat 15 in the heart of Schiermonnikoog. We provide pre-school education (VVE) for up to 15 children aged 2 to 4 years. Our playgroup uses a single group room of 56 m² and a spacious adjacent outdoor play area of 336 m² shared with the school’s kindergarten playground. Dutch is the main language, with Frisian also permitted. Parents receive information through our joint website with the school, newsletters, a parent app and daily handovers. We follow an annual training plan for pre-school education that systematically stimulates development in language, numeracy, motor skills and social-emotional areas. Each professional has a mentor role and discusses progress with parents periodically. Our location has been registered in the National Childcare Register since 1 January 2024 under number 167205079 and is supervised by GGD Fryslân.
