Welcome to KDV Kindcentrum Rode Schouw, part of Stichting Abbo Kindcentra. Our day-care group ‘Mik’ is located in the same building as primary school De Rode Schouw at Rode Schouw 87 in Halsteren. We provide care for up to 16 children per day, aged 0 to 4 years. Group Mik offers a homely, well-designed space with a separate bedroom where children can rest peacefully. Children play outside in their own garden, on the school playground or in the inner court. Opening hours are 7:30 a.m. to 6:15 p.m.; on request care can start at 7:00 a.m. We follow our own pedagogical policy, available on our website under ‘Beleid’. Close collaboration with the primary school is key: our pedagogical professionals coordinate activities and care with the school teachers. We provide pre-school education (VVE) through the Piramide programme, focusing on language development and other developmental areas. Our centre is situated in a quiet residential area surrounded by green spaces. We believe in giving children room to play, move and discover.
