Welcome to Stichting Abbo Kindcentra Kinderopvang – KDV Kindcentrum Kiezelrijk, located at Stadshillen 36 in Steenbergen. We are part of Abbo Kindcentra, an organization that operates nine unique child centers, each with its own vision on childcare and education. Since January 1, 2024, childcare has also become part of Abbo Kindcentra, allowing us to combine our expertise in child development and care even more effectively. Our daycare center provides care for children aged 0 to 4 years. We use a horizontal group structure, where children are grouped by age. For the youngest ones (0-2 years), we have 11 places available, and for the toddler group (2-4 years), we offer space for 16 children. The daycare is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:15 PM, and upon request, we can open from 7:00 AM. At Kindcentrum Kiezelrijk, we work with our own pedagogical policy, developed in consultation with the Local Child Center Council (LKR). This policy focuses on providing emotional safety, developing personal and social competencies, and teaching norms and values. We believe it is important for parents to be involved in their child's development. Therefore, we offer insight into your child's experiences at daycare through the parent app Konnect and invite you annually for a growth conversation. Our pedagogical staff are qualified and ensure a safe and stimulating environment. In case of illness or vacation, they are replaced by qualified substitute staff to ensure continuity of care. We work with a fixed staff-to-child ratio and apply the four-eyes principle. Flexible childcare is possible, tailored to the needs of parents. We also offer toddler care in 3-hour sessions, with the option to take 2 sessions per week. For children with an Early Childhood Education (VVE) indication, additional care is possible from 2.5 years old, in consultation with parents. We value good contact with parents. When picking up the children, there is always time for a chat with the pedagogical staff. For more extensive conversations, you can make an appointment with the location manager.
