STH Het Houtsnipnest

Welcome to Daycare Het Houtsnipnest, a homely branch of Gro-up Kinderopvang located at Plataanhout 53 in Zoetermeer. We provide care for up to 58 children aged 0 to 4 years, organised in horizontal age-based groups so babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers each have peers at a similar stage. Healthy food, plenty of exercise and outdoor play are at the heart of every day. Our qualified pedagogical staff create a safe, familiar and stimulating environment in which every child can thrive. We follow the VVE programme ‘Speeltaalhuis’ that offers a clear daily rhythm and stimulates language, motor and social development. The day always begins with a joint circle-time, after which children work in small groups on themed activities. Toddlers enjoy extra challenges in our weekly peuter-gym sessions and make daily use of our spacious outdoor playground. Indoors, a separate sleep room with cots and cradles allows each age group to rest according to its own schedule. Parents are actively involved through newsletters and are invited to bring items from home that fit the current theme. Fixed opening hours apply: mornings start at 8.15 a.m. and Tuesday afternoons at 12.15 p.m. For the youngest we supply nappies, wipes and baby-care products; older children receive a healthy bread meal and fresh fruit.
