Sterrenplein

BSO Sterrenplein is located inside the modern building of public primary school De Plevier in the Boomgaardshoek neighbourhood of Hoogvliet, Rotterdam. We provide after-school care for up to 40 children aged 4 to 8 years, divided into two groups: Little Stars and Mini Stars. These groups operate as duo-groups: they share spaces, join activities together and are guided by the same team of pedagogical staff. Our programme centres on play, movement and free choice. After school we pick the children up from De Plevier, share a snack and drink, and then the children decide what they want to do. Outside we use the large, sporty schoolyard with climbing frames, football pitches and natural elements for football, climbing or simply relaxing. Indoors different corners invite children to craft, draw, cook, make music or play quiet games. We run a weekly DoenKids schedule that alternates physical, creative and technical activities. Parent involvement is important to us. We keep brief, open contact at drop-off and pick-up, organise parent events and, together with BSO Oaseplein, have an active parent committee. During school holidays we remain open as BSO Holiday Land, offering themed, varied activities from 07:30 to 18:00. If you come by car, parking is free in the street. Public transport users can reach us in minutes with bus 80 or metro lines C and D, stopping at Tussenwater, a short walk from the school.
