Sprookjesrijk

Welcome to Sprookjesrijk at Gran Canariastraat 98 in Almere-Buiten. Our small-scale daycare is tucked right in the middle of the island district, surrounded by family homes, and offers a homely place where children from 2 months to 4 years feel safe and secure. We work in one vertical family group, ‘De Zwanen’, with a maximum of 16 children. In this setting toddlers and babies learn from each other: the older children naturally include the little ones in play and routines, while the youngest gain inspiration by watching and imitating. This creates a warm group feeling. Outside, children can play to their heart’s content on our own playground. They fill up the toy petrol station, ride around on bikes and balance on our tree-trunk pony. In the vegetable garden they help sowing, watering and harvesting; when everything blooms and grows we taste the home-grown vegetables and herbs together. Inside there is a spacious, bright group room where peace and space for creativity are central. At midday we share a fresh, warm meal – as much organic as possible – so children become familiar with healthy flavours at an early age. For the very youngest there is a separate nap room where they can rest undisturbed. Parents can park for free right outside and we are easily reached by bike, car and public transport. Nappies, care products, fresh fruit and drinks are included in the price; special diet food should be brought from home.
