Sportfever BSO de 'Kickies' is the most sporty after-school care in Haarlem for children aged 4 to 13 who have energy to spare! We are located right in the heart of all sports facilities: the Schoterbos, inside the clubhouse of football club Haarlem Kennemerland and next to the former HFC Haarlem stadium – a place full of history and movement. Everything we do revolves around letting children discover as many sports as possible while playing. Kids learn the basics of hockey, baseball, tennis, athletics, ice-skating, dance, rugby, surfing, horse riding and much more. Each month we focus on a different set of specific sports, so children can actively find out what they enjoy. Creative activities such as music and dance are also part of the programme. Every activity is tailored to the child’s developmental stage and personal interests. Our pedagogical staff hold both a sports qualification and a childcare diploma. They act as trusted mentors who pick the children up from school in the afternoon – on foot, by cargo bike or with our minibus – and escort them safely to the location. Mentors keep a special eye on their pupils and are the first point of contact for children and parents. Flexible care options are available: all year round, school weeks only, or for example 48 weeks a year – parents decide what suits them best. Curious?
