Sportfever SportBSO Heemstede VEW is located right at the heart of the VEW sports complex at Sportparklaan 10 in Heemstede. Our after-school care welcomes up to 40 children aged 4 to 13. The setting is surrounded by a wealth of sports facilities—football, baseball, tennis, athletics, a swimming pool and a sports hall are all within walking distance—and the nearby Groenendaal woods give children a green, safe space to run, play and practise sports every day. Every member of our pedagogical staff has completed a sports-education programme. They guide the children as they discover more than ten popular sports, including hockey, basketball, handball, volleyball and athletics. Each child takes part at his or her own level; fun and movement are the guiding principles. Indoors we offer a pleasant area for crafts, reading or simply relaxing with friends. This mix of sport and play creates a balanced after-school experience. We collect children from several local primary schools and work closely with parents to build a stable, familiar group. Our opening hours follow the school calendar: during term time we are open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 13:30 to 18:30, and Wednesday and Friday from 11:30 to 18:30. In school holidays we provide care from 07:30 to 18:30, giving parents maximum flexibility. At Sportfever we believe in the power of movement and a healthy lifestyle. Our BSO is small-scale, personal and secure. Children are given every opportunity to be themselves, learn new skills and grow in confidence. Day after day we see children race inside with big smiles, proudly sharing their sporting adventures.
