Welcome to Sport KDV ’t Sjoepkerke in Merkelbeek, a warm and stimulating place for children from 10 weeks to four years old. We provide a safe environment where love, learning and laughter are central. Our horizontal groups create a homely atmosphere in which every child is given the space to develop at his or her own pace. With us, everything revolves around balance: between activity and rest, between free play and guided discovery. Fixed daily rituals provide familiarity and security. We attach great importance to attachment; familiar faces on fixed days provide a trusted basis. Feeding on the lap and real contact are paramount. Nature experience is our second nature. We play outside daily in our own garden with outdoor kitchen, sandbox, playhouse and vegetable garden. Natural materials stimulate the senses and development. We let children experience the magic of nature without direct explanation, purely by feeling, smelling and discovering. Healthy nutrition is the basis of our offering. Together with Pombella, we serve bread and hot meals, fruit and snacks that are composed with child dietitians. Everything is included; from diapers to care products and from drinks to complete meals. This way, parents don't have to worry about anything. Our pedagogical employees work from love and warmth. We provide care from Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 19:00, with flexible day parts of 6 hours. A careful acclimatization procedure guides each child and his or her parents at the start.
