Sport BSO de Bongerd

Sport BSO de Bongerd is part of Kinderopvang Wageningen and is located in the clubhouse of athletics club Pallas at Sportpark de Bongerd, Bornsesteeg 2B, Wageningen. We provide after-school care with a strong emphasis on sports and physical activity for children aged 7 to 12. Our location is unique because we make full use of the extensive sports facilities of Pallas. During school weeks, we are open on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Children can generally attend the Sport BSO one day per week. If space allows, they may also come two days. On other days and during holidays, they can go to the BSO linked to their school. The programme starts at 4:00 PM with a joint sports hour in which all children participate. We offer a wide and varied range of sports and games, such as tennis, hockey, basketball, rounders and running on the athletics track. We also collaborate with local sports clubs and use additional play areas such as the grass field behind the swimming pool and the ‘Blauwe Bergen’ in the North-West district. In bad weather, we use a nearby sports hall. After the sports hour, we return to the clubhouse where children can relax with reading, games or outdoor play until 6:15 PM. Children aged 7 to 9 are picked up after school by our drivers. Children aged 10 and older come to the location independently, in consultation with parents. Our pedagogical staff are ready every day to give children an active, safe and enjoyable afternoon. Having fun while playing sports is always our top priority.
